Recently, SDUSD President Sharon Whitehurst-Payne appeared on local news channel KUSI where she defended their newly RE-instituted mask mandate. She suggested that if students in summer school weren’t comfortable wearing masks they should not return to class. (watch the segment here)
We’re asking people to reach out, politely convey your opinion on this decision and make it known that you want this masking nonsense stopped.

Phone call: Hi, this is Justin Hart. I have [children/friends/relatives] who attend school in San Diego and I want to make it known that I strongly disagree with the masking mandate which was just reinstated. There is no evidence that mask mandates work in schools and children have a very low risk of serious illness from COVID-19.
[you might add if you don’t live in San Diego]. I’m calling because what happens in San Diego will impact schools all over the country.
Please convey to President Whitehurst-Payne: her comments that kids should not return to school if they feel uncomfortable without masks is unacceptable.
